Spice Garden Eating House & Grill is the fruitful result of passionate food-lovers, who wanted to bring the magic of Sri Lankan cooking to our colourful Darwin.
By combining delicious Sri Lankan flavours with Aussie fusion dishes, a warm and friendly yet modern environment, we hope to enrich the lives of our patrons with new flavours, colours and most importantly – spices!
Living where we do, the gateway to the rest of the world, we have so much culture at our fingertips. We want to bring more of that into Australia and enable friends, families, locals and travellers to delight in our traditional Asian cooking with a uniquely modern twist.
Superb food, reasonably priced, very polite, friendly staff, nice decor. We only live round the corner and decided to try it in a whim, we will now be regulars
I can’t really fault this place on anything, the place was spotlessly clean. The service was really friendly and eager to explain all the items on the menu. The cocktails were fresh and delicious (though a little under-powered for my taste). We really enjoyed the food, if you like anything more than the conventional butter chicken from boring Indian places you’ll like the food here. Prices are a little steeper than most places but ultimately you get what you pay for. Will return.
We ordered take out, for those moments when the pantry is empty or when you are too tired to cook. We decided to keep our order simple: lentils with spinach and Sri Lankan paneer. Well the flavours were sensational and it is the best lentils and paneer we have ever tasted. They had lots of other dishes curries, rotis, rice and hoppers. We will definitely be back and recommend you try the authentic Sri Lankan flavours in their dishes. You also have the option to eat in, if this is your preference. Either way you will not be disappointed.

We are open everyday except Monday, from 5 PM to 10 PM. We do however stay open till late on Friday’s and Saturday’ if the restaurant is busy and our guests would like to stay in a bit more enjoy a drink or some late night food in our back courtyard.
Our restaurant is licensed to cater for 75 people inside and 75 people outside. So yes, we would love to host your party at our restaurant and we can provide you & your guests with authentic Sri Lankan food and drinks. Send us a message from out Contact page to discuss.
Yes, we do offer delivery through UBER EATS. All you have to do is to scroll down to bottom of this page and click on Uber Eats icon. However, if you want to collect your food on your way home or need more food varieties, we encourage you to try our NEW ONLINE ORDERING. We will let you know when your order would be ready and you can come and pick it up. It’s a WIN – WIN.
We now offer ONLINE TABLE RESERVATIONS up to 12 people. You will receive a confirmation from us when your reservation is accepted by us.
